CHATEAU LAGORCE WEDDING, BORDEAUX, FRANCE – MICHELLE&ROB

I knew we would get on straight away after I received the very first e-mail from Michelle. She was so excited about getting married and the wedding, I couldn’t help but smile! I think we chatted for like 3 hours about everything and anything when I first met Michelle and her then fiancé Rob. They are so good together, super fun and easy-going and just lovely to be around. And then they started telling me about their wedding day. Rustic French château in Bordeaux countryside, vintage inspired dress (which Michelle designed HERSELF by the way. More about that later), friends and family, outdoor reception, and amazing food and wine. I absolutely fell in love with the sound of their wedding, and with them of course

So, on a rather miserable day at the beginning of May, we jetted off to the sunny and warm Bordeaux. Michelle and Rob couldn’t have picked a better day and place to get married. Sun was shining all day, Chateau Lagorce was stunning, and great times were had by everyone. Michelle and Rob have the most amazing friends who helped so much with organising the wedding. They arranged the flowers, made the cake, bouquet and buttonholes, and probably pretty much everything else while Michelle was getting ready in the morning)) In addition to her stunning dress, Michelle had two pairs of shoes! Lucky girl))

When Michelle told me she designed her dress herself, I knew it would be stunning. Being a designer and a talented lady that she is, you wouldn’t expect anything else. It was a vintage inspired dress with beautiful embroidery, and it definitely had the wow factor. Michelle is now in the process of setting up her own wedding dress company. The ceremony was very sweet and emotional, with a fun personal reading from Michelle’s brother))

I love the relaxed style of the reception. Friends and family were mingling, enjoying the band and chilled champagne)) From the vineyards surrounding the Chateau, of course))

I always say I love photographing speeches! Seeing reactions of a bride and guests to facts from a groom’s past is priceless! I like capturing these)) Michelle and Rob’s wedding was no exception, apart from the fact that there were two best men. And one of them, as I was told, is a professional speech writer who has known Rob for like forever. Ahem… The rest as they say is history:
