This post has been in my head for a while. I needed for it to be the right time to actually write it down and transform it into words and sentences. Now with my wedding season over, it does indeed feel like the time is right)) I've been going almost non-stop since March, photographing beautiful weddings up and down the country, meeting so many lovely and interesting people, editing, blogging, sending countless e-mails. I haven't really got time to slow down and take it all in. I only have two more weddings to photograph by the end of 2012, and I feel like in a few weeks I will have aaallll this time when I can do things which are not wedding related. Whilst I love weddings A LOT, I think it's necessary to sometimes take a break and switch to different things. It helps to keep the passion for what I do alive, and it will make me feel hungry for shooting when the new season comes next year. I can say that I failed miserably on a few of my personal goals which I set for myself at the beginning of the year. But I'm going to try really hard in the next few months to achieve some of those, and I'm going to set myself some challenges too. My challenges will be short term which will hopefully make them easier to complete :) - I want to start reading books again. I can't remember when was the last time I read a book from start to finish... Shame, shame, shame...  I used to read a lot in uni, and I'd say until about 2 years ago. Then I got caught up in blogging, and I read lots of lifestyle blogs, papers and magazine, but there is nothing like holding a printed book and immersing yourself in a story. My recent purchase was Snow by Orhan Pamuk, so it shall be the first book I'll start with))

- I want (and need to) keep fit. I'm really really bad - I'm getting out of breath after 5 minutes of running. Yeap. I signed up to the gym in January this year, but I've been quite an irregular visitor. It's quite hard to make yourself go there to exercise after a weekend of weddings where I'm on my feet for 10 hours running around and carrying all that heavy gear with me. My challenge is to go to the gym every day for 7 days starting this Saturday, and then go twice or 3 times a week until Christmas (so then I can eat anything I want guilt free, hehe).

- I know I will never be able to commit to a 365 project (taking a photo every day. Not just any random photo, but putting a thought into it too), so I'm going to just do it for 7 days. Every day I will create and capture an image with an idea behind it. I want to push myself creatively.

- I want to shoot a film. I've playing around with video function in my camera with different lenses. Sometimes certain ideas, thoughts, feelings and emotions are best captured on video. I don't know yet what it will be about. I have an idea about how I want the film to feel though)) So, we'll see where it takes me, ha!

I will be blogging more about my challenges as time goes by. I'm looking forward to pushing myself outside my comfort zone)) And because every post is better with an image, here is a bit of my favourite colour
