Gemma and Owen wanted their wedding day to be relaxed and laid back, and went with the vintage village fete theme. The wedding and all the details were a real labour of love, and Gemma and Owen created and DIYed a lot of details and decorations. They managed to get their personalities across with little touches, showing Owen's love for cycling and Gemma's love for all things vintage. Recycling and re-using materials was very important to both of them. An old bicycle wheel was made into a table plan, invites and place names were printed on recycled paper, and Gemma's pyjamas was cut up to help make bunting. Guests enjoyed a family style meal of hog roast and delicious cakes made by family and friends. An ice-cream truck was a huge hit with everyone in the evening. An intimate ceremony with personal vows was followed by a drinks reception and lawn games, and heartfelt speeches. Gemma looked stunning in a beautiful gown by Ghost, with her look completed by a headpiece from Crystal Heirlooms and shoes by Rachel Simpson. Owen rocked the tweed jacket and bow tie with little bicycles on it. Huge congratulations to my wonderful sweet couple! It was a pleasure to be a part of your day :) x
