NEW WEBSITE AND BRANDING

If you are a regular visitor, you may have noticed a few changes around here. A brand spanking new website and branding, which I launched about 3 weeks ago! My old website had been there for more than three years and I felt it was definitely time for a change. My business has grown, and I have grown as a photographer as well as a person, and I wanted my new branding to reflect that.

Whilst the design process itself took approximately one week, thanks to the fabulous Go Live HQ, I've been working on the inspiration, copy, images and overall style pretty much since the beginning of the year. I wanted to make sure the new website was current, showcased my photography better and was a reflection of my personal style. It was a difficult and agonising process, and I wanted to get it right. I had to do a lot of 'digging' trying to describe my ideal couple to my designer and to myself (You are passionate people in life, affectionate towards each other and you care about your family and friends. You have a down-to-earth, open and humorous personality. You are foodies and probably like wine. You like new experiences and creating memories, and you have photographs dotted around your house. You will take real honest moments over the ones staged to perfection any day. You have a creative side. Your wedding is about your story, and a celebration of your love with those who are dear to you. It is most likely going to have an overall style of modern elegance, or rustic romance, or black tie meets botanical, with thoughtful personal details and lots of flowers. Sounds like you? ;) ).

The brief to my designer was "contemporary, clean, elegant and romantic (but not too feminine), with a slight editorial flare" (see Pinterest inspiration board below). The design Go Live HQ team created features big photographs complimented by warm gold and grey tones. Botanical graphics dotted around the site add an organic feel and reflect my natural approach and love for countryside and flowers. I also hope the new branding alludes to the personal care I give to my couples.

I'm absolutely in love with my new site, logo and all the elements! It's much more elegant and reflective of me and what I do. I hope it showcases my natural and emotive photography well. I hope you like it too!
