Tankardstown House wedding photos, Meath wedding photographer - Leah & Anthony.
Leah and Anthony held their beautiful and elegant wedding in Tankardstown House - luxury wedding venue in Meath, Ireland. From the start they were planning a relaxed day. The bride and groom wanted their guests to feel at home and enjoy the celebrations, for which Tankardstown House was a perfect venue. An elegant and luxury venue it is located in Co.Meath, right in the heart of the Boyne Valley, surrounded by parkland and beautiful grounds. The House felt especially cosy in autumn with open fires lit in the rooms and tea lights dotted around the space. It has a beautiful tree lined driveway leading up to the entrance, which we used as one of the locations for portraits, along with an old walled garden. We were pretty lucky to have a dry and sunny day at the end of October, and had a beautiful golden light for the evening photographs.
Leah got ready at the Collon House together with her family and bridesmaids. It was an emotional morning full of laughter and a few happy tears for good measure. Leah has a close-knit family and her bridesmaids were incredible. Leah and Anthony went for the First Look and decided to see each other before the ceremony. It was a very special moment and helped calm the nerves in the build-up and anticipation of the main event. Leah wore an elegant and understated dress by Stephanie Allin from Myrtle Ivory in Dublin. She completed her look with sparkly Jimmy Choo and a beautiful bouquet by Rosebud florist from Dublin.
The guests were welcomed into the light and spacious Orangery at the Tankardstown House for the humanist ceremony. I like that humanist ceremonies are becoming more popular in Ireland. They are always full of meaning to the couple, and despite having many guests in The Orangery, Leah and Anthony's blessing felt very intimate and personal.
After the ceremony the guests were welcomed to the drawing rooms for pre-dinner drinks and canapes. Leah and Anthony added some colourful and fun elements to the day - a magician was entertaining the guests during the cocktail reception; they had a delicious macaroon tower, a stunning sweet table with a naked cake and cupcakes by The Cupcake Bloke, and they also organised Opera Singing Waiters as a surprise entertainment for the evening (who were absolutely fabulous and got a standing ovation at the end of their act!).
The band was playing and the party was in full swing when I left after getting the biggest hug from Leah and Anthony. They are so good together and they have planned a perfect day which reflected who they are as a couple. It was full of love, positive energy and laughter. Every guest was special to the couple, and everyone was there to celebrate the wedding with them.
