Elegant winter wedding at Kilronan Castle in Roscommon, Ireland - Lisa and Alan.
Kilronan Castle is a luxury wedding venue in Co.Roscommon in Ireland. Nestled in the woodland and overlooking Lough Meelagh it was a great location for Lisa and Alan's wedding. They travelled back home to Ireland from Australia to get married surrounded by their family and friends and it was a very special celebration. As the wedding took place shortly after Christmas, Kilronan Castle looked especially cosy decorated with trees and lights. The weather stayed dry right up until we got to the venue and the sun was even shining in the morning. Lisa and Alan certainly couldn't have chosen a better day.
Lisa got married at her family home. I loved her bespoke dress by an Australian designer Samantha Wynne. It looked stunning completed with a pair of sparkly Louboutin heels. Bridesmaids wore long dusky pink gowns which Lisa also got in Australia. The ceremony took place in a church which could be seen from the house, and a vintage bus brought the bridal party down the road.
Lisa and Alan put a lot of thought into making their wedding day reflective of them as a couple. The overall aesthetic was slightly vintage, romantic and rustic. They created a cigar bar, an evening photobooth with a polaroid camera, collected old books for table centerpieces and chose songs for the ceremony with lyrics they could relate to. They even thought of the location for the photographs and after the ceremony the bridal party and I went to an old village set-up, which provided a beautiful and quirky backdrop. Everyone braved the cold and we had a fun few minutes before heading back to Kilronan Castle for reception.
Lisa and Alan, it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of your wedding day. Wishing you many years of happiness together! x
