That time of the year has come around again when I look back and put together a round up of my most favourite and best wedding photographs from the past year. I felt emotional looking through all the images and selecting just a handful for the post below. I've finished my 6th year as a full time wedding photographer, and 2016 has been absolutely incredible - filled with wonderful people and so many beautiful weddings all over Ireland, England, Scotland, France and Ibiza. To all my couples I had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with - THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for asking me to capture your wedding days for you! I never ever take it for granted, I love what I do and I put my heart into it, and I hope it shows in the photographs I create for you. Hugs all around!

In 2016 I have photographed beautiful weddings in some of the best venues in Ireland, England and Scotland. I also travelled to a couple of weddings abroad in France and Ibiza. Choosing the photographs for the collection below wasn't easy. I could have included so many more! As with all my photography I focused on emotions, feelings, connections, documentary storytelling and beautiful genuine wedding portraits. At the end of the day and in years to come it's not about pictures of your wedding cake, shoes or beautifully laid out invitations (although don't get me wrong, who doesn't like a pretty cake?!). I hope with time the photographs will remind you of utter happiness you felt on your wedding day, the love you felt for each other and an incredible sense of celebration. That's why I never come into a wedding with a series of templates. What I like to do is to observe. I feel like if I observe what's happening around me, that's how I get genuine honest natural photographs. I hope you enjoy looking through the images below which reflect that.

To everyone reading this post, to all my wonderful brides and grooms, their families and friends, and all incredible wedding professionals I got to work with in 2016 - have a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year! Enjoy the festive season, hug those you love tight, take photographs and create beautiful memories. Lots of love x
