Pembroke Lodge wedding in Richmond, London - Anna and Simon.
Today's real wedding inspiration moodboard is from Anna and Simon's elegant summer wedding in London. Their wedding venue was a beautiful Georgian mansion in the heart of Richmond Park. Surrounded by tranquil landscaped gardens Pembroke Lodge was the perfect venue for Anna and Simon's relaxed wedding. The location of the Lodge is very unique. It is surrounded by the wilderness of Richmond Park where deer roam free, yet it is only a stone's throw from London city.
Anna and Simon's wedding day was intimate, relaxed and full of love. A little rustic and playful with the overall feel of happiness. It was important for them to have their most loved family and friends to be there to support them and witness their vows. Wedding guests travelled from as far as Australia, Ethiopia, Spain and Norway. Anna and Simon's priority apart from getting married and having their little girl with them, was to just create a beautiful and enjoyable day for everyone, which was reflected in their choice of venue, focus on flowers for decor and music.
Anna got ready with her bridesmaids at The Bingham Hotel on the Thames. They were wearing matching robes from Plum Sugar, which Anna gifted them in the morning. Anna had some custom made jewellery, which was a nod to India where she and Simon travelled to together. Flowers by Wild About Flowers were English including roses, scented peonies, wispy grasses as well as eucalyptus and succulents to reflect Simon's Australian heritage. I love that Anna and Simon were thinking about their heritage and incorporating little personal touches into the details. Flowers were arranged in old Hungarian pickling jars to reflect Anna's family history.
If you are planning an early summer wedding, the overall colours of white, silver and soft greens and pinks may work really well. At this time of the year there is usually an abundance of vibrant colour outside, which you can take advantage of, especially if you are planning a relaxed outdoorsy celebration.
