Modern city wedding at Sunbeam Studios in Notting Hill, London.

The wedding of Hannah and Niall at the beautiful Sunbeam Studios in London is the wedding I'm excited to share on the blog today. Sunbeam Studios is a Grade II listed building situated in Notting Hill, which offers a unique space for weddings and events in the heart of London. They take a limited number of events each year, and were listed in the Top 5 London wedding venues by Brides Magazine. From a photographer's point of view, Sunbeam Studios is ideal to shoot in because of its beautiful huge windows and the abundance of natural light. Needless to say I was very excited when I first received Hannah and Niall's e-mail!

Hannah and Niall's vision for the day was basically to have a great party, with great food, drinking and lots of dancing. They added personal touches throughout the day to reflect their personalities and heritage. Being from Scotland, Niall wore a kilt and a thistle buttonhole, whilst Hannah had thistle in her bouquet designed by Hayford&Rhodes Flowers. The tables were named after bride and groom's favourite park where they like to go for walks and cycle - Richmond Park, Dulwich park and Hyde Park. Hannah's dad is from Guyana, and Guyanese rum tasting was offered to guests after the meal. Canapes had Scottish flavours including haggis and killie pies. I knew Hannah and Niall had a great sense of humour when a saw a separate table for kids at the reception, which was called London Zoo!

Both bride and groom got ready at the Ampersand Hotel in Kensington before making their way to the Sunbeam Studios for the ceremony. Niall patiently waited at the top of the aisle. After he turned around to see Hannah walking down to him with her dad, he couldn't wipe the smile off his face until pretty much the end of the day. Hannah looked stunning in a floaty Suzanne Neville gown with embellished sleeves. I also liked her custom Nike runners with her new initials for the evening party.

I left Sunbeam Studios last at night when the party was in full swing. Some serious shapes were thrown on that dancefloor! I left with a huge smile on my face, because that's just how Hannah and Niall make you feel. They celebrated their marriage just how they wanted - with a big party for their loved ones and their friends. It was a fuss free wedding and everyone had a blast! Huge thanks to my lovely couple for having me as their London wedding photographer.
