"We were both grinning constantly looking through the photographs. There are so many shots that we just love. You have captured all of the different personalities and emotions of the day perfectly. It was particularly lovely to see photographs of each other and our guests before the ceremony and before we saw each other for the first time. We are also very grateful to you for helping the day run smoothly, especially for your wedding wisdom (i.e. putting my bouquet in water for me). Thank you so much for joining us and capturing our day so beautifully!"
~ Georgiana and Sheridan
Relaxed summer wedding at Dorney Court in Windsor.
Georgiana and Sheridan's Dorney Court wedding in Windsor was one of the highlights of my summer. The hottest wedding (literally!) I've photographed this year and such a beautiful day filled with love and happiness.
Living in Dubai it meant a lot to the bride and groom to celebrate their marriage in such a historic venue as Dorney Court surrounded by their families and friends. In contrast to their formal jobs in Dubai they wanted their UK wedding to be informal and relaxed. Also living in the middle of the dessert the couple were keen to have a wedding that celebrated the best of British summer, a location with beautiful green laws and buildings imbued with history. Being a 600 year old Tudor manor house and one of the best country house wedding venues in England, the Dorney Court was an obvious choice. The gardens surrounding Dorney Court provided a beautiful setting for an outdoor drinks reception, wedding photographs and hog roast meal in the courtyard.
One of the most important reasons behind the couple's decision to get married in UK was that Sheridan's lovely grandmother could join them. She was the kind of grandmother who used to build tepees in the garden for him and dress up as a native American. She was the sweetest and it was absolutely lovely to meet her and chat to her on the day :)
Congratulations to my wonderful couple!
