Favourite Wedding Photos Of 2017

Here we are again in December! My 7th year of being a professional wedding photographer and doing this job full time is coming to an end. Although I still have 3 more weddings to shoot before the year ends, I want to share some of my favourite images from 2017 now and you'll have to come back next year for the rest ;)

2017 has seen me photographing beautiful weddings all over Ireland, England, Scotland, and also shooting a destination wedding in Normandy. It has been an absolute blast thanks to all my wonderful couples who trusted me to capture and preserve their memories, and who just let me do my 'thing'. I'm able to do what I love for a living thanks to all of you and for that I am forever grateful!

As always with my work and even more so this year the focus of my images has been to capture people, unguarded emotions, fleeting moments and moments with animation and spirit, to tell your story, and to create genuine unposed portraits. In the 7 years of shooting weddings I learned when to anticipate for something to happen. I see it as my job to be in the right place at the right time to capture a split second moment, vanished forever if not caught on camera. My overall goal is to create a collection of memories you will look at fondly in 20, 30 and 40 years time :)

I have taken less wedding commissions in 2017 than in any other year to create time for other creative avenues. I've been learning floral design and growing some of my own flowers which I'm getting to love more and more! So far I have designed flowers for an editorial photoshoot at Gloster House in County Offaly - one of the best wedding venues in Ireland, which has been published on Style Me Pretty. I have also designed and arranged flowers for 2 weddings. If you would like to see more of my floral work, head over to my Instagram.

Choosing a handful of favourite images for the blog out of thousands I captured throughout the year is always hard. But some just stand out and this is the collection of wedding photographs I'm sharing with you today. Thanks again to all my brilliant couples, to all the wonderful wedding professionals I met along the way and got to work with, to friends in the industry for all their help - hope you all have a wonderful festive season filled with love and peace. And here is to the new 2018 :) x
