"Dasha, thank you so much for sending through the pictures so quickly! We sat and looked through them last night, brought all the memories flooding back, seems so much longer than a couple of weeks. We absolutely love them, thank you so much! We really are over the moon, they are beautiful and capture our day perfectly. We can't thank you enough for all of your help, and we couldn't be happier with our photos! Problem will be deciding which ones go up on the wall :)" ~ Alex and Grant
Hever Castle spring wedding in Kent, England.
Beautiful Kent wedding venue Hever Castle was the location for Alex and Grant's intimate spring wedding. Grant is a gardener, so it's only fitting that the bride and groom got married in one of the most beautiful and famous gardens in UK. They celebrated their marriage in the Astor Wing overlooking the castle amongst just 25 of their closest family and friends. The wedding was romantic, intimate, cosy and perfect in so many ways!
A castle wedding venue near London, Hever is set in the idyllic Kent countryside and has a long and rich history. It is most famous for being a childhome home of Anne Boleyn - the second wife of King Henry VIII. In 1903 the castle was lovingly restored and the Astor Wing was created along with much of the present day gardens. One of the most magnificent areas of the gardens at Hever Castle is the Italian Garden, which we used for the couple's portraits in the evening. The light was golden and buttery and the bride and groom enjoyed a relaxed stroll along the lake. The beautiful lakeside location can also serve as a space for an outdoor wedding ceremony at Hever Castle.
Alex and Grant planned a very family oriented, soft and romantic wedding. Choosing Hever Castle as their venue was a no-brainer, as the place is very special to the couple. It's where they had their first day out together, celebrated their first anniversary and got engaged on their second anniversary. So, Hever was the only choice for them when it came to deciding on the venue! I'm so glad it was, as photographing this wonderful couple amongst the beautiful gardens in full bloom was an absolute joy for me as a photographer and a flower lover!
