2018 selection of weddings in some of the best wedding venues in Ireland and abroad.
Another year has come and gone! Wow… 2018 has been a year of so many beautiful weddings all over Ireland as well as destination weddings in Scotland, Jersey, London and Austria. It also marked the 8th full year for me as a professional wedding photographer in Ireland and abroad. By this stage I have captured over 260 weddings for 260 wonderful couples, each and every one of which trusted me to create the memories of a lifetime for them.
I could go on and on about how much I love my job, but it’s not what you are here for. If you recently got engaged or started planning your wedding, I hope this blog post will help you understand a bit better whether my style of photography is right for you. Below you will find a selection of my favourite images from 2018 weddings in Ireland and abroad. I will also link to some weddings which can provide a lot of inspiration for wedding flowers, decor or will show what your images may look like if the weather is not the best on your wedding day. So keep on reading! :)
My year started with a winter wedding in Cripps Barn in UK. It was somewhat challenging as it rained all day non-stop. We had to do all the group photos and couple’s portraits inside. BUT! Later in the evening when the rain eased off we managed to get some nigh time photos, which ended up being some of the most favourite for Sophie and Alistair. If you are planning a cosy winter wedding with rich burgundy accents and flowers, click above to check it out!
Check out Katie and Greg’s black tie Virginia Park Lodge wedding for beautiful flowers, fun sparkler bridal party and amazing sunset couple photos.
Check out Sally and Zac’s elegant spring wedding if you want to bring your heritage and culture into wedding decor. They also had the most amazing flower arch for the outdoor ceremony!
In September I travelled to Austria to photograph L and J’s wedding. If you want to see what it may look like to have your wedding in a palace and for a stunning wedding dress fit for a royal bride, check out their Palais Liechtenstein wedding in Vienna.
And finally, for stunning burgundy, peach and pink flowers, huge floral chandelier, vintage red Jaguar (and a tractor! You’ll have to check it out ;) ), two wedding dresses, barefoot beach photos and rainy day photos, check out Christine and Otto’s destination wedding in Trump Hotel Doonbeg.
If you have been a guest at a wedding where the bride and groom go missing for the reception and don’t spend much time with their guests, and you want to do the exact opposite, check out my blog post on how to plan a relaxed wedding day timeline. I put my years of experience into it and it’s full of practical advice on how to make your day better so you can spend time with your guests and party more!
