Elegant flower filled wedding at Millbridge Court, Surrey, UK.

Sally and Zac's beautiful wedding in Millbridge Court was about bringing together their heritage and a celebration of their love for each other. A blend of English peonies, Portuguese tiles and Greek olives to reflect Sally's English roots and Zac’s half Portuguese and half Greek background. It was a super relaxed and fun day for them and their guests that celebrated their love in an idyllic setting with their nearest and dearest.

The Portuguese tiles were used across a number of elements including actual tiles the bride and groom brought back from Lisbon. They featured the wedding stationery suite, appeared in frames and were even in the cake bunting and favours.
The other 2 elements (peony and olive) featured in the flower arrangements designed and created by Alright Petal Flowers as well as the stationery. The flower arrangements were designed to be really abundant with foliage to feel really fresh and bring the outside in. Herbs were laid on the place settings alongside the menu cards and favours. I always say that all the details at a wedding should either have a purpose of making things look beautiful and create a sense of celebration, or have meaning to the bride and groom. Sally and Zac asked their florist to pay tribute to Zac's Father through the use of his favourite flower white lily, which was used in the top table arrangements and in the flower arch at the ceremony.
Colours – lots of white, champagnes, rose golds, and splashes of deep berry pinks, occasional bits of blue to bring out the Portuguese tiles and occasional bits of green to bring out the Greek olive.

Another big theme of the wedding was booze! Sally and Zac had been saving corks for years, even before they got engaged. Sally wrote the date and occasion on each cork and these have then been used for place card settings. For the large majority of the wedding guests their cork was specific to them. The table plan and table names also bring in this theme as they spray painted wine and champagne bottles for this and the table names are different beverages (Champagne for top table of course!).
The bride and groom also created His and Hers cocktails for the evening. His was a Rum Old Fashioned and Hers was a Pom Fizz.

Sally has a bit of a thing for balloons so they got a few really large balloons to display (from Bubblegum Balloons). Also Sally's Nanna lost her Grandad when Sally was just 6 months and he loved balloons.

A wandering acoustic band was playing during the drinks reception which was very exciting for the guests. They introduced Sally and Zac into the reception room at Millbridge Court with Signed Sealed Delivered :)

I hope Sally and Zac's wedding will provide you with lots of inspiration for your own celebration! Thank you to my wonderful couple for having me capture their incredible wedding day!
