"Wow! I don't even know what to say! The photos are so beautiful, couldn't have asked for more. You are amazing! Thank you soooo much from both of us!" ~ Danielle and Stephen
Pet friendly summer wedding in Co.Meath, Ireland.
Danielle and Stephen got married and celebrated their wedding in Tankardstown House in Slane, Meath. The bride and groom's original choice of wedding destination was Italy. However, they eventually decided to get married in Ireland so both their 11 year old dogs, who are as much part of the family could attend.
It was my first time photographing a spiritual ceremony in Ireland and I learned that it differs from a humanist ceremony. The definition of spirituality as quoted on Spiritual Ceremonies website is "Spirituality encompasses real self, of us.. truth of our inner self… the inner being, hence why our ceremonies always focus ON YOU". If you consider yourself a spiritual person who is not necessarily religious, you can learn more about the spiritual wedding ceremonies here. Danielle and Stephen's ceremony was very personal including some readings, the sand pouring and ring warming rituals to involve their guests.
The couple didn't have a specific wedding theme, just lots of white and soft pink flowers and foliage - flowers lining the aisle, flowers on table candelabras, and flower table plan. Instead of wedding favours the bride and groom made a donation to Dogs Trust - charity close to their heart as that's where they adopted their beloved pooches (check out the cute family photo with dogs below!). If you are thinking about whether or not to have pets at your wedding,
It was an absolute pleasure to be Danielle and Stephen's wedding photographer in Meath. It was such a beautiful Irish wedding full of love, positive energy and so much love for the couple. View a few of my favourite photos from their beautiful wedding day below:
