Relaxed October Black Tie Wedding In Tankardstown
“Dasha, we absolutely loved the photos! We loved reliving it all at the weekend! Thank you so much for capturing our day. You caught all those little moments of magic so perfectly!”
Laura and James were looking for relaxed, candid, documentary-style photos taking advantage of the autumn light and beautiful house and gardens. They wanted the wedding to be fun and relaxed, but with a touch of glamour, and wanted to capture some of their friends and family enjoying themselves.
Both bride and groom got ready at the Boyne House in Slane and had their ceremony in the village church before heading back to Tankardstown for the reception. We had a glorious dry October day and got all the photos done quickly on arrival to the venue, so the couple could join their guests for the drinks reception. After the dinner bell with came out into the walled garden and had a couple of minutes of the most beautiful golden hour light! Little tip for your photos if you would like to take advantage of the golden hour - around 5 or 6pm is the perfect time in the second half of October before the clocks go back.
