Relaxed Modern Style At Irish Country Estate

“I thought Virginia Park Lodge was the best decision we made in the wedding planning journey but you truly were a find and we are so pleased with your end result! We were so impressed by your professionalism and efficiency throughout the journey and we really warmed to you at the engagement shoot so we knew we were in capable hands, but on the day itself you just made it so easy not only for Robbie and I but our family and friends, you were nowhere to be seen, even our guests commented on this, fly on the wall you most certainly were.

We have our memories, photographs, after the day has past and we will treasure your photographs forever. We were lucky enough to have all our special people (that are living) with us on the day and we will be forever grateful of your talent and the beautiful moments you captured as the sad reality is, we may not have everyone forever but we will have your amazing photographs.”

Michelle & Rob

There isn’t really much I need to say about Michelle and Rob’s wedding other than it was everything a wedding should be - fun, all about families and friends coming together, a relaxed celebration. And Michelle’s style - just wow!

From the bride:

“Rob and I have been together 13 years, we met at a music festival. I was 18, he just turned 21. We wanted a mix of music/genres at our wedding as a result, we have a sting trio for the ceremony, sax/piano at drinks reception and band with a brass section and DJ to finish the night off, we hope the mix of instrumental with old and new songs will portray our love for music. Our first dance song is also unique to us and not a typical first dance song, perhaps not many people will know it, which is what we like about it.

Rob and I are very family orientated therefore we wanted this day to be about our families (and close friends) and celebrating our 13 year relationship. We feel VPL is a home away from home and also has a luxury feel as a treat for our family and friends. My father is a chef so we are used to good food so VPL really stood out (and the only venue we looked at) therefore it ticked all our boxes. We are having a two day affair in VPL as we feel it is too nice to leave after only one night.

Hilary will decorate the house with lots of candles and will do simple and respectable arrangements for the ceremony. I have added a few personal touches but not a lot, frames on the cheese table of great grandparents, grandparents and parents. Toiletries, flip flips, cigars in the bathrooms. A3 Fingerprint tree where people can leave their thumb print and sign their names instead of a guest book to name a few.

Table Names are all places that Robbie and I have visited with family, friends or together over the 13 years, they are all important places to us or our favourite places.”
