Summer Wedding In Virginia Park Lodge

When Paul and Maitiu first got in touch, they were looking to create a relaxed, enjoyable, party atmosphere for their wedding in Virginia Park Lodge. They wanted to style the wedding in line with the venue; rich and rustic, with party, music and food being the big focus for the celebration.

They were absolutely blessed with a dry warm August day, which allowed for a beautiful outdoor ceremony in the sunken garden overlooking the lake, followed by drinks reception on the lawn, heartfelt speeches on the patio with guests informally gathered around.

Paul and Maitiu wanted to free up some time in the evening, so they got ready together and we did most of the portraits before the ceremony. This allowed them to enjoy some time together before entering for dinner. The grooms did what’s called the ‘photo dash’ where they had to run around and get a photo taken with each table whilst they entrance song was played. It was so much fun and set the tone for the evening.

The party started early with the secret singing waiters who got everyone on their feet and dancing on chairs, and when the band kicked off for the first dance, everyone was ready to party.

“We genuinely had the best day of our lives and you played such a major part in that. You got the balance perfect and have captured so many excellent moments. Couldn’t have wished for more than the very best photographer, but you stepped far out of your role ensuring nothing but the very best for our day. Thank you so much!”
